The SVS PB-2000 Pro is a subwoofer engineered to reproduce low frequencies with exceptional depth, high output capability, and precise control, making it suitable for both home theater systems and high-performance stereo setups. It incorporates technologies derived from SVS's higher-end product lines, with the goal of delivering authoritative low-frequency extension while maintaining accuracy, fast transient response, and seamless integration with the rest of the audio system.

The enclosure is constructed from rigid MDF and features an extra-thick front baffle along with an extensive internal bracing system that increases structural rigidity and minimizes unwanted resonances. Internal acoustic damping material helps reduce sound coloration even at high playback levels, while the dual-port bass reflex design is optimized to maximize airflow, improve low-frequency efficiency, and minimize port turbulence. A thick, non-resonant ABS front grille and iso-elastomer isolation feet complete the design, helping to reduce vibration transfer to the surrounding environment.

Low-frequency reproduction is handled by a completely redesigned proprietary 12-inch driver. The vented 1050 aluminum cone combines light weight, rigidity, and neutrality, while the long-throw surround allows substantial cone excursion with accurate, controlled piston motion. The motor assembly employs dual toroidal ferrite magnets and a low-carbon steel structure, while the dual-layer high-purity copper voice coil, wound on a fiberglass former impregnated with polyimide, provides excellent power handling and efficient heat dissipation. An aluminum shorting sleeve further reduces distortion and inductance, ensuring linear performance even at maximum excursion.

Power is supplied by the Sledge STA-550D Class D amplifier, delivering 550 watts RMS with dynamic peak output exceeding 1,500 watts. Its high-current MOSFET output stage provides outstanding driver control, high energy efficiency, low electromagnetic interference, and consistent performance even during the most demanding program material.

Signal processing is managed by a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP featuring 56-bit double-precision filtering, optimizing system performance under all operating conditions. Through the rear-panel Intelligent Control Interface or the dedicated app for iOS, Android, and Amazon devices, users can precisely adjust volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and the three-band parametric equalizer to effectively address room-related acoustic issues. The subwoofer also allows selection between Standard and Sealed tuning modes, enabling its performance to be tailored to different listening preferences and room characteristics.

Connectivity includes stereo RCA inputs and outputs compatible with a wide range of audio components, along with a 3-12 V AC/DC trigger input for automatic power synchronization with the rest of the system. Bluetooth connectivity is dedicated exclusively to subwoofer control via the SVS app, allowing all primary DSP settings to be adjusted directly from the listening position while providing real-time two-way communication between the app and the subwoofer. A rear-panel USB port is also provided for service updates and for powering optional accessories such as the SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, enabling wireless installation without the need for an audio cable.
