The SVS SB-1000 Pro is an active sealed subwoofer designed to deliver deep, controlled, and accurate bass from a compact enclosure. The system is built around a 12-inch high-excursion front-firing driver developed to move large volumes of air without sacrificing control. The composite fiber cone combines rigidity and low mass to ensure linear movement even under demanding operating conditions, while the proprietary injection-molded surround provides stable cone excursion, reducing distortion and preserving low-frequency detail.

The driver assembly features a dual ferrite magnet motor combined with an extended aluminum pole piece, increasing motor strength and improving transient response. The structure is completed by a heavy-duty powder-coated steel basket optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to maximize mechanical rigidity. A vented pole piece and a high-purity copper voice coil improve heat dissipation and minimize power compression during demanding listening sessions, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Power is provided by the Sledge STA-325D amplifier, derived from the technologies developed for the brand's flagship models. This Class D amplifier with a discrete MOSFET output stage delivers 325 watts RMS and more than 820 watts of peak power, providing substantial current reserves and precise driver control. The design allows the subwoofer to reproduce powerful, articulate bass while integrating naturally into any audio system without compromising tonal balance or accuracy.

Signal processing is handled by a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP featuring 56-bit double-precision processing, specifically developed to optimize the performance of the sealed enclosure. The processor continuously manages the subwoofer's frequency response and operating parameters, delivering deep, well-defined bass with excellent control while minimizing unwanted boominess and improving integration with the listening environment.

All settings can be adjusted through the SVS app, which communicates with the subwoofer via Bluetooth. The app provides control over volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, Room Gain Compensation, and a three-band parametric equalizer. It also allows users to store dedicated presets for music, movies, or gaming, making it easy to recall preferred settings directly from the listening position.

For those who prefer direct hardware control, the rear panel incorporates the Intelligent Control Interface (ICI), featuring an LED display and touch controls. Connectivity includes RCA inputs as well as stereo high-level inputs for integration with amplifiers that do not provide a dedicated subwoofer output. A USB port is also included to power the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, enabling wireless signal transmission between the source and the subwoofer.

The enclosure is constructed from high-density MDF with extensive internal bracing to minimize unwanted resonance and vibration. Internal acoustic damping further reduces cabinet coloration, providing a neutral platform that allows the driver to perform with maximum precision, even at reference listening levels.

The subwoofer is supplied with a robust non-resonant ABS front grille with fabric covering to protect the driver without affecting its acoustic performance. Screw-in iso-elastomer feet reduce vibration transfer to the floor, improving stability while contributing to cleaner, more controlled low-frequency reproduction.
