Anne Bisson, the renowned artist from the province of Quebec, has built a loyal following throughout Europe and earned numerous awards. With her rigorous training in classical piano and singing, this captivating jazz vocalist made a name for herself with audiences and music media alike through her commercially successful album Blue Mind.
Audiophiles who had the opportunity to hear her perform at Milano Hi-Fidelity 2024 also appreciate the exceptional sound quality of her releases. It is therefore no surprise that 12 of the finest songs recorded by Anne Bisson over the past 15 years have been brought together on a single album for the first time. The Essentials features a carefully selected tracklist of Bisson's best-known recordings, including “September in Montreal”, “Killing Me Softly” and the bonus track “Les Moulins De Mon Coeur”, a French-language version of Michel Legrand's classic “The Windmills Of Your Mind”.
This exclusive One-Step reissue is individually hand-numbered and limited to just 3,000 copies worldwide. Bernie Grundman was responsible for the impressive remastering. The 180-gram vinyl is cut at 33⅓ rpm and pressed at the renowned RTI pressing plant in Camarillo, USA. The One-Step reissue is presented in an elaborately designed gatefold sleeve, which includes a 20-page booklet featuring Bisson's life story, exclusive colour photographs and anecdotes.
